Does anyone really know?  We think we do but the fact is there are almost as many differing opinions and ideas as there are people.  The way God is viewed depends primarily on who you ask and what culture or experiences shaped his/her opinions and beliefs.

Of course, that person and those that think likewise are “saved” and the rest of creation this loving God is condemning to eternal suffering.  Do I sense a little contradiction here?  Would love reject that which it created?  Would love leave something that important to part of humanity to convince the rest?  If it was really that crucial, would God not make it all very clear?  Would loving parents even think about bringing children into the world under conditions of acceptance or rejection?  Would love bring a child into a situation where even the slightest chance for such atrocity existed?
